About Recipes by AI · with Amey
Recipes by AI · with Amey is an experimental cooking companion that combines Indian home–style cooking wisdom with modern AI models. The goal is simple: help you decide “aaj khaane mein kya banaye?” using what you already have at home.
What this app does
- Lets you describe the ingredients you have, or the dish you’re craving.
- Guides the AI to think like different “personas” – aunty–style ghar ka khana, dhaba–style, or healthier low–oil versions.
- Uses an internal, curated recipe knowledge base to keep results close to real Indian cooking – not random fusion.
- Helps you adapt recipes by servings, effort level, and sometimes diet preference.
How the recipes are generated
Under the hood, the app uses a mix of:
- AI models (such as LLaMA–family and other large language models)
- An internal, open–source–based recipe database to ground the responses
- Custom cooking rules that try to keep the AI close to realistic Indian methods and proportions
The AI is treated as a helper that formats, cleans up, and adapts recipes – not as the single source of truth. Final recipes are influenced by this internal knowledge base and cooking constraints put in place to make the results more trustworthy.
Important limitations
Even with all this, the app is still experimental:
- Measurements, timings, and techniques are approximate, not guaranteed to be perfect.
- The system does not provide medical, nutritional, or allergy advice.
- You should always use your own judgement for food safety, dietary needs, and spice tolerance.
Who is behind this?
This project is built and maintained by Amey, a developer and AI generalist who loves combining practical tools, Indian food, and modern AI systems. The long–term idea is to grow this into a trustworthy, Indian–first recipe assistant that respects both home kitchens and smart automation.
If you spot something off, or have ideas for making the recipes more authentic and useful, please treat this as a living project and share your feedback.
